Richard DeLong has served as a Republican member of the Nevada Assembly representing District 26 since 2022. He succeeded fellow Republican Lisa Krasner in the seat, which encompasses portions of Washoe County.
Before entering the legislature, DeLong worked as a geologist. He holds a bachelor's degree from California State University, Chico, and completed graduate studies at the University of Idaho. He has not previously held elected office nor served in the military.
